Can’t tear yourself away from popular science journals? Want to interview prominent women and students in science? Want your writing read by thousands of aspiring women in STEM from across the country?
Then we want you! We are looking for highly motivated and passionate bloggers to join our team! All welcome to apply, regardless of age, background or gender. Must be passionate about the Scientista Foundation's mission. The perks: - Sharpen your writing and communication skills. - Write for a global audience of thousands of students and professionals across the country. - Our best writers will have the opportunity to write for our Huffington Post column! Qualifications: - We're seeking science majors with a passion for writing, OR writers with a passion for science! (In other words, it doesn't matter which combination you are, but you should have an interest in both writing and the mission of Scientista.) - Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills. - No experience is necessary! However, journalism/writing experience and/or background in science is a plus. - Must be able to work independently and keep to deadlines. Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. JOIN SCIENTISTAAbout ScientistaThe Scientista Foundation is a national organization that empowers pre-professional women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through content, communities, and conferences. Currently the largest network of campus women across STEM disciplines, Scientista serves to connect all communities of women in STEM, giving such important organizations more visibility and resources, and building a strong, cohesive network of women in science that can act as one voice.
Scientista was started by two Harvard undergraduates to address the needs of collegiate women in STEM. Since its founding, Scientista has successfully expanded to 10+ campuses, and has launched a successful intercollegiate Research Symposium, and has started partnerships with major organizations and media companies, including The Huffington Post and the Association of Women in Science. Scientista was named by Enable Education as a "Top 12 Amazing Organization for Women in STEM." Archives
