The UMichigan Scientista Chapter is pleased to welcome Shaima Khandaker to its Business Board. Shaima will serve as the UMichigan Scientista Chapter Historian for the 2013-2014 academic year. Shaima brings years of experience working with various organizations including the American Cancer Society and UNICEF. She has worked with ACCESS Community Health and currently serves as Executive Chair of the University of Michigan Stockwell Sophomore Year Experience Programming Board. The UMichigan Chapter of the Scientista Foundation has initiated a fundraising survey to assess the fundraising potential of the Chapter and evaluate specific aspects of previous Chapter fundraisers. Results from the survey will help identify untapped potential, weaknesses, and strengths of our Chapter fundraising programs. Please take two minutes to answer our brief online survey below to help us address our Chapter's fundraising needs and build sustainable fundraising capacity. The University of Michigan Scientista Chapter Executive Board is thrilled to announce the addition of new board member Miranda Ajulufoh with extensive leadership experience working with several student organizations. Miranda will serve as the UMichigan Scientista Executive Board Member-at-Large and brings years of leadership experience from organizations such as Global Development Collaborative and D.A.N.C.E for Diversity. We are very excited to have Miranda on board to help us take UMichigan Scientista to the next level! Are you a freshman passionate about empowering young women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine? Do you want to build strong leadership skills that will help you discover the leader in you? Are you interested in coordinating campus activities and/or producing professional, polished work? Then you should apply for the Freshman Representative position for the University of Michigan Scientista Chapter! Applications are available below and should be submitted no later than Friday, November 15 at 5:00 PM. Applicants will be notified about their interview time and location within one week after the application deadline.
