Greetings Earthlings

Picture
Hello world and all who inhabit it!
My name is Andrea Packheiser, but I go by Andi. I am the Scientista Ambassador for Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi(TAMUCC).  I am studying Psychology as an undergraduate and currently at a crossroads whether or not I want to also major in Social Work . I enjoy learning for the sake of learning and I am an avid believer in communicating newfound knowledge to others as well, particularly in science and art. I enjoy reading, writing, conversing(I do believe it's a dying art), and telling the world all of my terrible jokes. If it was not for science communicators like Carl Sagan, Michio Kaku, and Tyson, my curiosity for science would have extinguished long ago. My best friend is my sister Brooke Packheiser, who is a University of Texas at Austin Alumni with a Chemical Engineering Degree. The reason why I bring her up is because she inspired me to help other women in times of struggle and defeat to keep pursuing the sciences. In awe of her attitude and strength, I decided that joining the Scientista Foundation would allow me to better help other women pursue their dreams no matter how tough times get. I hope that by participating in the Scientista Foundation, I can future help spread the science, love, and female equality. Peace out and keep spreading the word of science.
