Tara has been a part of the Scientista family since her freshman year and is honored to be the co-director of the Harvard Chapter. Tara believes in learning, exploring, daring, and dancing.

Chair of Board Publishing (2015-2017)
Deepika Kurup is in the class of 2019 potentially concentrating in Neurobiology. She is from Nashua, NH and currently resides in Canaday (future Winthrop) at Harvard. Deepika is very passionate about STEM, and for the past four years has been conducting extensive scientific research in finding a solution to the global water crisis. At Harvard she is also a member of the Leadership Development Initiative and Social Innovation Collaborative.

Chair of Events (2015-2017)
Allison Yan (class of 2019) is a prospective life sciences concentrator at Harvard College who appreciates the little things: good food, quality sleep, and well-written research papers (somewhat kidding about that last one). She is passionate about science as a whole and all of the possible paths a career in science could entail. Outside of Scientista, Allison plays violin in the Harvard Pops Orchestra, tutors and mentors in three PBHA programs, and conducts metabolism research at Massachusetts General Hospital. You can usually find her studying (and trying not to get distracted by the beautiful architecture) at Widener or guiltily running out of JP Licks after an ice cream run.
