Faculty Advisor
Dr. Catherine Leimkuhler-Grimes

Dr. Catherine Leimkuhler Grimes received her undergrad in Chemistry (B.S.) at Villanova University where she completed research under Professor Eduard Casillas. In 2003, she received her M.S. in chemistry at Princeton University with Professor Daniel E. Kahne, and in 2006 she went on to complete her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Harvard University with Professor Daniel E. Kahne. Following this she worked as a Cancer Research Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital with Professor Erin K. O'Shea and Professor Daniel K. Podolsky.

Now she runs the Grimes Group here at University of Delaware investigating Chemical Glycobiology and Innate Immunity. She has participated in many groups similar to the Scientistas, and is an extremely accomplished scientist. We are excited to have such an enthusiastic and hardworking Scientista as the UD Chapter faculty adviser!
