GetMAGIC Corp. (MAGIC) is a non-profit organization that encourages middle and high school girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The program aims to address a critical issue that our society faces – the decreasing number of girls entering STEM fields. MAGIC was launched by a group of senior women engineers at the 2007 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. Since then, it has been featured in Google's International Women's Day Campaign, IEEE Spectrum, and Newsweek. MAGIC distinguishes itself by providing one-on-one mentoring to middle and high-school girls for a period of 3-9 months. This unique approach focuses on building several hands-on projects driven by the mentee's interests. MAGIC mentors have included women with successful STEM careers at Google, IBM, JASnet, McKinsey, NASA, Oracle, Stanford University, and University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
