In the zero gravity quarters of International Space Station, many of the mundane, routine tasks we do on earth become a challenge for astronauts. This has left many people pondering: just how do you wash your hair in space? With no gravity to create running water, the classic steps of “lather, rinse, repeat” clearly aren’t going to cut it. According to NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg, PhD, this is a question she gets quite a lot. So often, in fact, that she felt compelled to make this awesomely fascinating video for us to watch. Using this, I’ve created the Scientista 10 Steps to Washing Your Hair in Space. Check out the steps and Dr. Nyberg’s video below!
