The Scientista Foundation is now hiring an executive director! Deadline: Sunday, September 8 at 11:59 PM EST. POSITION Executive Director Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Scientista’s national staff, programs, expansion, fundraising and execution of its mission. She or he will initially develop deep knowledge of field, core programs, operations, and business plans. LOGISTICS This is a part-time, paid, remote position. COMPENSATION This is a paid position. Offering a competitive part-time salary based on experience level, with opportunity for increase based on performance. Currently the largest network of campus women across STEM disciplines, Scientista serves to connect all communities of women in STEM, giving such important organizations more visibility and resources, and building a strong, cohesive network of women in science that can act as one voice.
Scientista was started by two Harvard undergraduates to address the needs of collegiate women in STEM. Since its founding, Scientista has successfully expanded to 10+ campuses, and has launched a successful intercollegiate Research Symposium, and has started partnerships with major organizations and media companies, including The Huffington Post and the Association of Women in Science. Scientista was named by Enable Education as a "Top 12 Amazing Organization for Women in STEM." Archives
