OUR MISSION: WISE Words Magazine is a student-run publication dedicated to bridging the gaps between established professionals and young women interested in pursuing careers in the sciences. Recognizing that direct communication between women at these different stages in their careers is difficult, we seek to serve as an alternate resource to a wide readership of young women. By offering mentorship, advice, and opportunities, we hope to help young women across the country realize their career goals. This quarterly magazine strives to publish high quality articles that discuss issues facing women in the workplace and interviews that advise up-and-coming scientists to common pitfalls they may face and opportunities that may aid them.

Can Healthcare be a Good Business?
The Harvard College Health Management Group's first event of the semester this Thursday, September 22, from 8-9:30 pm in the Dunster House TV Room. Join us to learn more about HHMG and to watch the House episode "5 to 9" (a day in the life of Dr. Cuddy). We'll wrap up with a discussion on the similarities and differences in Cuddy and House's role (management + clinical).  If you don't know where the Dunster TV room is, you can meet a board member at the John Harvard statue at 7:45 pm to walk over together. Refreshments will be provided!
If you're interested in health management but can't make it on Thursday, join our email list for information on speaker events and other opportunities: hhmg-list@lists.hcs.harvard.edu.

Hope to see you on Thursday!
